Annual Lenten Handbell Service on 3/28
All are invited to the Annual Lenten Handbell Service on Wednesday, March 28, at 7:00 pm, at the Congregational Church in downtown Laconia! Annually, on the 5th Wednesday in Lent, the handbell choirs from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, The Methodist Church in Gilford, and the Congregational Church in Laconia hold a combined Lenten Handbell Service. The location of the service rotates between the three churches. This year, we will be at the Congregational Church in downtown Laconia. All are welcome!
Soup and Luther on Wednesdays in Lent
Join us for Soup and Luther on Wednesdays in Lent. A simple soup supper will be served at 6:00 pm. Pastor Dave’s Luther class will begin at 6:45 pm. Soup and Luther will meet on: February 29 March 1 March 7 March 14 All are welcome! Come for Soup, come for Luther, or come for both!
Ash Wednesday Services
Wednesday, February 22nd Ash Wednesday Services at noon and 7:00pm The noon service will be an informal service with the imposition of ashes and communion The 7:00 pm service will be a traditional Ash Wednesday service with the imposition of ashes and communion. This service will include music.
Fund Raising Dinner for Jennifer Taylor
Many of you know Jennifer Taylor. Or you know her parents, Irving and Sharyn Childs. For those of you who don’t know Jen, she is 39 years old with a husband and 2 teenagers. Almost two years ago she was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of MS. She and her family have had to make countless changes to their life style. Jen is almost completely wheelchair dependent now. Bible Study
Bible Study meets on the first and third Thursday mornings of each month. We are currently reading through Second Corinthians. All are welcome to join in.
Annual Meeting
Good Shepherd’s Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, January 22nd, following one 9:00 am worship service.
Two Christmas Concerts this month!
The Ashland Chorus presents their Annual Christmas Cantata on Monday, December 19th at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary of Good Shepherd. All are welcome! The Lakes Region’s New Horizons Band will present a Christmas Concert in the Fellowship Hall of Good Shepherd on Tuesday, December 20th at 6:30 pm, followed by a pot luck supper at 7:30 pm. All are welcome!
